What a Wonderful World (uh Weekend)

Ok, so yeah...had a great time this weekend. Start to finish. Couldn't have been better.

I'll try not to gush too much...

Friday after work, my friend from a few hours away, who still doesn't have a name because I'm too picky and can't remember what the one and only Mr. Dirk Mancuso recommended. Anyhoo, New Friend came down and we went out for a co-worker's going away gathering. After a few drinks and an acceptable time of visiting, New Friend and I left and went home to bed. No tawdry tales there (or tails either). We sleep in Saturday, a cool morning perfect for snuggling up to someone, and have lunch, go window shopping here and there, find a big block shelf for his living room, and then meet up with the guys, Ramon and Jerry for dinner, so all my guy pals can actually meet each other in person. We had nice Italian food too (No, not the Olive Garden)! After dinner, we come back to my apt, I pack up and we head to where he lives in the Big City a few hour away. Once there we head to a cute little old time drag bar, where the gals are a bit older and do more 'classic' number. Not to say that drag can be classy, but you know what I mean. We then hit a few more bars, ending up at a mostly lesbian bar/club, and let me tell you, it looked like an Ani DiFranco jam fest....oh wait, Ani just played earlier that night, so there you go. We went home a little early...in bed by two...woke up for Sunday church. New Guy is very involved in his Metropolitan Community Church (for GLBT)...and it was a very moving and wonderful service. We had lunch there after the service and then just kinda laid around with his three cats and napped a little. Later, we went to eat at a lovely little Mexican place and came back and just talked some more.

I feel really good about this. We connect on a lot of levels and there's no BS no games just honesty and a tremendous feeling of being 'comfortable'.

Ok, tomorrow is 20 Things Tuesday...which means I have to come up with something to list.

Later Everyone!

Sounds like a great weekend.

It's always nice when someone is happy.

That way the rest of us have someone to hate.

Hugs,

Dirk-ie
