The Sound of Music
Short and sweet today peoples...
I'm a big music fan. I love performing & visual arts. This weekend I've been invited to see the gay/lesbian/bi-sexual/transgendered wind band perform in a local town. It's called BandTogether. I'm excited about the prospect of going...they're doing Halloween music...which sounds pretty cool. Yes, I know I don't get into getting dressed up like my favorite Baldwin Brother or my least favorite Duff Sister, but I can appreciate the sounds of the season. Plus, a GLBT music ensemble...kinda hilarious if you ask me.
Oh, revelation! I just realized why I don't like Halloween (or getting dressed up). Wow, blogging is like therapy. Flashback to the mid 80's when scared of needles in candy and child molesters on the loose at every corner...so my overprotective mother (God Love Her) refused to let my sister and I go trick or treating after I was above the age of 4 or 5. Instead of going door to door, Mom just bought my sister and I all the candy we wanted.

Your story makes me think you should be even more fanatical about Halloween, since it was forbidden (just like the lambada).
I'd think you'd be dressed up and begging for "candy" every chance you'd get. But instead, you just have a complete distaste for it -- peculiar.

Six: Glad you and I have returned to civility ;-) Smooches! Yeah...you'd think I'd have all this pent up need to dress in a costume and beg strangers for candy...but I think since it's 'forbidden', I just lost interest.
Dirk: Smooches to you too...uh...least favorite, most favorite...potato, potato (hmm...guess you gotta say that to make the joke work). It's like Britney and Christina...both equally skanky, just skanky in their own ways..B = Trailer Park Trash skanky...C = skanky ho skanky.
