Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore...

My eyes closed tight...I could hear the music pulsing through my body...the bass vibrating every square inch...it's a good mix of dance music...not too techno.....just right...someone shouts out, give me a bump, i know you've got one...that someone's also yelling at her audience...c'mon i can't hear you, put your hands together...let me see you work it out...ok now push your hips back, and stick your butt out....

Wow...

The scene I just described is not my latest trip to the local gay club. No my friends, I just recapped this morning's cycling class. We had a new instructor. I admit, I was a bit hesitant, because new = bad sometimes. I have no clue what most of the songs were...I only remember they were AWESOME to spin to...some fast...some slow...all dance mixes...Perfection.

"Ok this is when the rubber hits the road...Mind over muscle...we're not climbing hills, we're climbing mountains...let's go...give me another bump" (ok, yeah I thought she overused the bump thing)...but whatever.

The instructor wasn't petite, in fact she was kinda manly, which added to the whole, "am I in a cycling class or a gay bar" atmosphere.

Then near the end on a HUGE ass hill, I heard a song...no lyrics...just music...and thought hmm..this sounds familiar. It was Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings in a dance mix version. It was crazy. Adagio for Strings is one of those classical pieces that you probably heard before, but didn't know the title.

Anyway...it was a fun class...Especially when I pretended the instructor was a drag queen and yelling 'C'mon bitches'. It was great!

Have a fabulous weekend!
