"W": The Musical
I love me some good tunes. If I go bankrupt, it'll be because of iTunes.
Some of my current favs on the radio (and I'm not a huge Nickleback fan), but I love If Everyone Cared...Say it Right - Nelly Furtado and Give it to Me Nelly F, Justin Timberlake, and Timbaland. The new Maroon Five (Makes Me Wonder) is already WAY overplayed...but I still like it for now.
This morning in cycling, the instructor (who's a little too peppy and not 'mean' enough) apologized because all the songs were 'women' songs. I said, 'honey this is the best track list you've had in the last 8 months.
She had...
"Strong Enough- Cher"
"That Thing - Lauren Hill"
"I love the Nightlife - Alicia Bridges"
"Trouble in my town - Pink"
"Yeah - Usher"
I can't remember the rest...but it was very woman power (for the most part). And by woman power I mean gay man power.
So my question to you, what are some of your current favorite songs, and some oldies but goodies from the past?
Discuss.

Dude, I almost cried the other day when I turned on my favorite local Classic Rock station...and they were playing "Shot Through the Heart" by Bon Jovi. Hearing a song that I liked to sing along to back in middle school on a classic rock station made me feel old.
As far as "current favs," I don't listen to very much "current" music (i.e. pop, Top 40 type stuff). I do like groups like, say, Coldplay and Death Cab for Cutie. I also groove on a lot of classic rock/classic punk: everyone from Steely Dan to the Ramones. James Taylor and Gordon Lightfoot often find themselves in my CD player. Elton John and the Rolling Stones are gods, as far as I am concerned. I also love Mozart and Prokofiev.
In other words, MQB's musical tastes are quite eclectic. You should see my mix CDs...
Current: "Makes Me Wonder"/Maroon 5; "Before He Cheats"/Carrie Underwood;
"Chasing Cars"/Snow Patrol
Oldies: "Against All Odds"/Phil Collins; "I'm Moving on"/Rascal Flatts; "Like A Virgin"/Madonna
